Warning against unofficial exhibitor directories

The Mexico-based company EXPO GUIDE, S.C. as well as Connect Publisher, S.C. offer updated entries in the "Exhibitor Directory for Fairs and Exhibitions" with reference to the "Data Control/Expiration of Validity", which are subject to a fee. The small print in the order states that upon signing, a contract is concluded for 3 years, which triggers annual costs of over €1,000.00. At times, the Construct Data publishing house, now based in Bratislava, Slovakia, is also active again, publishing the Fair Guide. The publishing house follows the same scheme as ExpoGuide and Connect Publisher.

Due to the many references, we would like to clarify that the registrations offered in the Expo Guide, the International Fairs Directory (Connect Publisher, S.C.) and Fair Guide are not entries in the official CMS Berlin exhibitor directory. Messe Berlin has no connection whatsoever with the provider of the Expo Guide and Fair Guide.

If you have any doubts about the origin of the provider when you receive an offer, please feel free to contact us at cms@messe-berlin.de. If you have already signed a contract with another supplier in the mistaken belief that it is connected to our official exhibitor directory, we strongly recommend that you contact a lawyer due to the impending expiration of revocation and/or rescission periods. For further information, please also contact AUMA, the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (info@auma.de). On the AUMA homepage, you will find further information as well as a sample response letter with which you can react to an invoice from, for example, ExpoGuide.

We have been informed that a company of unknown origin is contacting exhibitors offering them a database. We would like to clarify that the provider has no business relationship with Messe Berlin GmbH or CMS Berlin and is not authorized by them to make such offers. Messe Berlin GmbH has the exclusive right to the database. The adoption of substantial parts of the database violates the rights of Messe Berlin GmbH as database producer. We therefore expressly request that you do not accept any of these offers.
